EarthMore is a small family-owned business specializing in consultation services regarding sustainable energy, home design, and building problem diagnostics and resolutions. Our science based approach saves our clients money while reducing their carbon footprints. This can be in the form of ensuring your current home or business is properly air-sealed and insulated, exploring the option of a renewable energy system, or beginning the design and build process of your future “green” dream home. We offer expert second opinion consultation services to aid in our client’s peace of mind. We never want you to overpay for services that won’t fix your home’s problems or for systems that underperform on what was promised.
ZAK Dowell
Zak Dowell is EarthMore’s president and service provider. When you contact EarthMore, you aren’t going to experience the big business runaround. You’ll speak with the owner and expert from the very beginning to end. Zak’s experience includes a dual-focused Master of Science in Building Science and Appropriate Technology and over twenty years of industry experience as a Class A licensed contractor. He is currently a Ph.D. student and BioBuild Fellow in the Building Construction department at Virginia Tech.
In the last few years, he has provided training and/or consulting services for Honeywell Corporation, VA Farm Bureau, VA Tech Agricultural Extension, Malloy College, VA Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, the VA Society of Home Inspectors, and more.
